Exodus Place is devoted to getting homeless veterans off the streets. According to the National Coalition for homeless veterans, "One out of every three homeless men who is sleeping in a doorway, alley, or box in our cities and rural communities has put on a uniform and served this country". We are doing everything we can to lower that statistic.
We are hoping that with the gracious contributions from people who believe in this cause, and who believe that the men who fought for this country deserve to have a place to live, we will be able to restore hope and faith where it has been lost.
We are asking for you to find it in your heart to donate to these brave men, and give them a chance to get their lives back.
After all they’ve done for us, can’t we do something for them?
Exodus Place is a transitional housing facility for men who have been in prison, veterans and men who are coming out of any hopeless situation. Our objective is to get them back on their feet by providing housing, counseling, employment assistance, 3 meals a day, mentoring and much more. We believe that with the right tools at their disposal, they can get their lives back on track. Exodus Place promotes "A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out".
Be sure to invite your friends and family to join Exodus Place!
We are hosting cookouts every week on our back deck which overlooks the Grand River! It's a great way to enjoy the sun, view, friendships and food! We are looking for volunteers to help serve food, clean up and most importantly, meet the men and staff. If you are interested in helping, please email Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org.
